      "Evening Passage was created with a desire to be bold and a little edgy. I used strong, unexpected color and simplified forms rather than attempting a realistic seascape. The oversized sun, red sails, and unconventional green reflection are intentional choices, meant to create movement and contrast while leaving the viewer free to imagine where the boat has been—and where it may be going."
