Artists and art lovers, celebrate Labor Day Weekend with the St. Augustine Art Association and the St. Johns Cultural Council at a two-day Plein Air Paint Out! Soak in the last golden days of summer, capture the season’s vibrant beauty on canvas, and welcome the first hints of fall with a weekend filled with creativity, community, and inspiration.
Experience the city’s historic charm, unique architecture, and scenic beauty through the time-honored tradition of painting en plein air (outdoors). Watch artists paint on location throughout the city, then visit the St. Augustine Art Association gallery to view works in progress, explore finished paintings, and purchase original artwork inspired by St. Augustine.
This is a free event, but artists do need to sign up and all surfaces must be stamped before painting.
This event is sponsored by the St. Johns Cultural Council.
IMPORTANT: Artists must be 18 years of age or older.
When arriving, registered artists must check-in at the St. Augustine Art Association (located at 22 Marine Street) and have their surfaces stamped before beginning to paint.
If they wish to paint at a private location, the artist is responsible for obtaining the necessary permission to do so. Artists must follow all guidelines and hours any location has.
