To add to the multilayered beach experience, I added a fish and Capiz Shells underneath the ombre blue draped waves so we can hear the wind and waves. "Using texture and one color allows the texture, contours and shadows to become the main feature, focus and experience. Not sure why I decided to paint it gold, but in the end the gold gave it true meaning. The plaster fabric piece in the center “pouring out” of the format and the frame gives it additional dimension. Once I found the proverb, it seemed perfect to add the two “gold” nuggets. Additionally, the “gold nuggets” of the scripture were metaphorical.
