"The Accidental Elephant emerged through an experimental mixed media process. It was not my intention to create an elephant: the image revealed itself as I studied the unpredictable marks, textures, and movement within the piece. My role became one of recognition and restraint, choosing what to preserve without making the image too literal. I created the custom, hand finished frame as an extension of the artwork, allowing its weathered surface to echo the image within.
