“Stemberger has created a painting in the style of New Wave Impressionism, a contemporary take on the old French standard. Inspired by the combine paintings of Robert Rauschenberg, the piece contains three perspectives, a Travelodge, Stogies Cigar Bar and the Matanzas River. The painting seeks to capture and conceptualize time and space, allowing the viewer to move about scenes while also experiencing the overall effect of the image as a whole.“
