“When I’m teaching a beginner felting class I try to emphasize making samples … see how the colors work with each other, see how the materials interact, see how the textures evolve … And sometimes I use samples to create a series of works that test these statements. Sometimes it turns out exactly the way I thought it would and sometimes it’s a great big surprise! Blue green is in a series of waves that use different materials and textures. This one uses Merino wool, wool yarn and PVA glue to create those waves.“
