The Star Catcher
$350.00
Mixed Media by Judy Bloom
(16in. x 20in.)
“Inspired by the Florida coastline, The Star Catcher tells the story of a bird who searches the shore for fallen stars and returns them to the night sky. Raised seashells, dimensional forms and textured surfaces transform the painting into a landscape meant to be explored through both sight and touch.
Created especially for a show celebrating the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind, the work reflects the idea that beauty can be discovered in many different ways. Sometimes we see it. Sometimes we feel it. Sometimes we simply know it is there.”
