“I am drawn to color and graphics that are prevalent in all kinds of media; books, magazines, junk mail, pamphlets, and packaging, just to name a few. When I am crafting a new piece of jewelry, I am as aware and intentional about colors and designs I choose to use just like I would be when I create a painting. This piece features a paper mache octopus, two necklaces, two pairs of earrings, and miscellaneous beads all made from reclaimed paper. The beads are hand rolled paper beads that are dipped in polyacrylic. The 3 string necklace was made from the book this piece is sitting on. The treasure box is a reclaimed Kleenex box that holds earrings made from reclaimed magazine paper and another Kleenex Box.”
