““Pom King” is one in a series of pomegranate paintings I’ve done that started with the purchase of our property in New Mexico. There were three pomegranate trees behind the house that we pruned. I decided to keep the branches with fruit and took many shots on top of a hot tub with the sunlight at a dramatic angle.
