Black wires cross the air—
a nervous system sparking.
Color flares like messages
from somewhere just behind the veil:
a yellow eye half-open,
a turquoise whisper circling,
red shards of interrupted speech.
Spirits do not rise in white—
they arrive in angles,
in splinters,
in the crackle of ink flung hard enough
to break silence.
Someone is calling.
Something is answering
through the trembling lines.”
