  “The spark of memory, a momentary flash. A pause between moments when a memory is ignited in a certain location. This painting celebrates an intersection of mystery and memory, when we experience a flash of intuition and subconscious understanding. Using bold neon paint as an underpainting, I masked the starburst and painted. Upon completing the painting, I removed the masked areas and revealed the underlying colors on the canvas to show a dramatic illustration of a spark!"
