  "Pointillism is an artistic style that is well-known around the world. As an emerging artist, it has always captivated me. But I wanted to add a more modern and unique twist to this popular technique. I replaced the paint brush in favor of map pins - but use only four colors. Each map pin is strategically hand-placed onto a black surface in strategic patterns to bring about a third dimension where there’s typically two. When viewed at a distance, the thousands of map pins join to form the illusion of additional colors while revealing even more detail of a truly compelling image."
