  "Escapism is part of a larger body of work exploring the human impulse to reconnect with our true nature. The piece opens the narrative of this collection, examining dissociation not as avoidance, but as a survival mechanism in a country marked by ongoing turmoil. Through small, intimate gestures- a sip, a shared laugh, a fleeting joke among friends- the subject’s worries begin to recede. They are not erased or silenced, but gently pushed into the periphery. In this suspended space between awareness and distance, the work reflects on escapism as both refuge and necessity."
