Fundamental to French Impressionism, Plein Air–or outdoor painting–is a St. Augustine tradition practiced by local artists dating back to the Henry Flagler era. Every year at the end of April, artists line the streets capturing the beauty of St. Augustine throughout the day as the colors change and people move about the city.
A new tradition to St. Johns County, the Hastings Main Street Festival of Art presents artists, food vendors, crafts and activities for kids, live music, local storytellers and so much more! The Festival is held on Thanksgiving Weekend on Main Street in Hastings, Florida–just 20 minutes from St. Augustine.
The Ximenez-Fatio House Museum is one of the best-preserved and most authentic Second Spanish Period residential buildings in St. Augustine, Florida. Local artists create mantle designs that embody the spirit of the holidays! Displays are up starting the weekend before Thanksgiving and concluding in January at the end of Nights of Lights.
