March Plein Air Paint Out Registration
March 20 – 22, 2026
Artists are invited to participate in the March Plein Air Paint Out in historic St. Augustine, Florida! Be inspired by the Spanish architecture, coastal environment, small-town streets, and Old-World charm of the nation’s oldest city.

Paint Out Registration
IMPORTANT: Artists must be 18 years of age or older.
Registration Fee includes:
Access to the STAAA Wet Room & Amenities; Access to private and exclusive painting locations; Special Plein Air events; Eligibility to enter into the Plein Air Paint Out Exhibit at the St. Johns County Admin Building on November 19 – February 8. See website as other inclusions will be added as confirmed.
REGISTRATIONS AFTER march 13, 2026, WILL INCUR A $25 LATE FEE.
Painting Locations
Artists may paint at legal public locations (click here to view the City Map). If they wish to paint at a private location that is not listed, the artist is responsible for obtaining the necessary permission to do so. Artists must follow all guidelines and hours any location has.

During the Plein Air Paint Out, works-in-progress and finished paintings can be viewed and purchased — both online and in-gallery — from the “Wet Room.”
Open in the gallery from 9:00am to 5:00pm daily during the Plein Air Paint Out.

at the St. Johns County Admin Building
November 19, 2026 – February 8, 2027
Registered artists may enter works completed during the March Plein Air Paint Out (or other 2026 Plein Air events) in this exhibit held at the St. Johns County Admin Building (located at 500 San Sebastián Way).
This exhibit is juried for acceptance and awards.
Exhibit entry, drop-off date and further details will be available closer to the exhibit date.

How to Register
Fill out the form below and submit. There is no jury process for registration. All artists 18 years of age or older are eligible to participate in the Paint Out.
