Bahamian-born, Tampa-based artist Kendra Frorup presents her exhibition Roots, Return, & the Weight of Memory at the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum. Through mixed-media assemblages and sculpture, Frorup draws deeply from Afro-Caribbean heritage, referencing the Bahamas and her travels abroad. Her work explores themes of home, migration, and the balance between leadership and care, central to her ongoing investigation of Caribbean material culture and diasporic identity.
Join CEAM and Kendra during First Friday Art Walk for the opening reception of this incredible exhibition, featuring an artist-led walkthrough at 6:00 PM.
