Push the boundaries of traditional portraiture in this one-day workshop!
Join Paula Pascucci as she demonstrates how to analyze the face as a harmonious interplay of shapes and values. Using your phone or tablet, you’ll discover how to accurately break down a reference image, and then recreate it shape-by-shape on a substrate. Experiment with distortion, and try painting with vibrant, expressive colors – emphasizing the use of unconventional skin tones. The portrait you produce in this workshop can be entered into the next month’s Faces & Figures show!
