Sunday, September 8, 2024

Artists: Apply online by August 25, 2024

Join us in celebrating the 100th Anniversary of St. Augustine’s Sister City relationship with Aviles, Spain!

On Sunday, September 8th, visitors and locals are invited to the Aviles Street Festival. Explore the historic district and its charming galleries, boutiques, restaurants and museums, while enjoying live music, delicious food, and captivating art!

Artists and art lovers! — The St. Augustine Art Association and the St. Johns Cultural Council will host a one-day Plein Air Paint Out as part of this celebratory event. In a nod to St. Augustine’s art history, experience the town’s Old-World charm and architectural beauty through the time-honored tradition of painting en plein air (outdoors).

Selected artists will be painting in and around Aviles Street throughout the day. In addition to watching the artists paint on location, observers will be able to visit the St. Augustine Art Association’s gallery to see (or buy) works-in-progress and finished paintings.

Further details and artist application listed below.

This event is sponsored by the St. Johns Cultural Council.
