Plein Air Paint Out Registration

Paint Out Registration
Registration Fee includes:
Access to the STAAA Wet Room & Amenities; Access to private and exclusive painting locations; Special Plein Air events; Plein Air Picnic at the Lightner Museum on Friday, April 25; One exhibit entry into the Plein Air Pop-Up Exhibit at the St. Augustine Yacht Club on April 27, 2025; One exhibit entry into the Plein Air Paint Out Exhibit at the St. Augustine Art Association on May 2 – June 1, 2025. See website as other inclusions will be added as confirmed.
REGISTRATIONS AFTER APRIL 16, 2025, WILL INCUR A $25 LATE FEE. LATe registrations can be done in-person AT THE ST. AUGUSTINE ART ASSOCIATION ON THE DAY OF THE PAINT OUT.
Special Events
Plein Air Paint & Picnic
in the Lightner Museum’s Radzinski Family Garden
April 25, 2025 (12:30 PM)
The Lightner Museum will open the Radzinski Family Garden to registered plein air painters for a mid-day picnic and gathering with peers! A light lunch will be served as artists may continue to work on their paintings.
This event is free for registered plein air artists, and $30 per non-artist.
Artists can RSVP and purchase tickets for additional guests when registering below.
Exhibit Opportunities
Plein Air Pop-Up Exhibit
at the St. Augustine Yacht Club
April 27, 2025
Registered artists may exhibit ONE work completed during the Paint Out in the Plein Air Pop-Up exhibit on April 27, 2025, at the St. Augustine Yacht Club (442 Ocean Vista Ave).
This exhibit will be judged in-person for awards:
- $1,000 Best in Show
- $700 First Place Award
- $500 Second Place Award
- $300 Third Place Award
- $100 Fourth Place Award
**Artists do not need to attend the Plein Air Pop-Up Exhibit Closing & Awards Reception to enter their work into this exhibit.
Artwork Drop-Off
April 27, 10:00am – 11:30am
Artwork (and easel for display) must be dropped off at the Yacht Club.
Artwork not brought to the Yacht Club in time for judging will not be included in the exhibit. Artist is responsible for retrieving artwork by the closing at 6:30pm.
Exhibit Opens Free to Public
April 27, 12:00pm – 3:00pm
Visitors, artists and art buyers may freely view the Pop-Up Exhibit on the Yacht Club’s covered deck. Cash bar inside.
Closing & Awards Reception
April 27, 4:30pm – 6:30pm
$35 – Registered Artists
$50 – Non-Artists
Artists can purchase their tickets when registering below. **Artists do not need to attend to enter their work into this exhibit.
Tickets are extremely limited. Must be purchased by Friday, April 25, 2025. Subject to availability.
Plein Air Paint Out Exhibit
at the St. Augustine Art Association
May 2 – June 1, 2025
Registered artists may exhibit up to TWO works completed during the Paint Out in the Plein Air Paint Out exhibit on May 2 – June 1, 2025, at the St. Augustine Art Association (22 Marine Street).
One work is free to enter, and a second work may be entered for a nonrefundable fee of $10.
This exhibit is not juried for acceptance or awards.
Work(s) may have been previously exhibited in the 2025 Plein Air Pop-Up Exhibit.
Artwork Drop-Off
April 29 – 30, 11:30am – 5:30pm
Artwork must be dropped off at the St. Augustine Art Association. Work must be framed and ready to hang with secure wire on back.
Exhibit Opens Free to Public
May 2, 5:00pm – 8:00pm
Exhibit opens free to the public during First Friday Art Walk.
Artwork Pick-Up
June 1, 12:00pm – 4:00pm
June 3 & 4, 11:30am – 5:30pm
Artists are responsible for retrieving their artwork from the Art Association on these dates.

Fill out the form below and submit. There is no jury process for registration. All artists 18 years of age or older are eligible to participate in the Paint Out.
